FAQ
What is Hair Transplant
A hair transplant is a surgical procedure that moves hair follicles from one part of the body (usually the back or sides of the scalp, where hair is more resistant to balding) to an area that's thinning or bald — most commonly the front or top of the head.
How long it takes?
Consultation – Hairline design and donor area assessment.
Extraction – Hair follicles harvested from donor site.
Implantation – Follicles inserted into tiny incisions in recipient area.
Healing – Crusting forms and falls off; growth begins around 3–4 months post-op.
Results – Noticeable improvement in 6 months, full results in 9–12 months.
Types of Hair Transplant Techniques:
FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) – “Strip Method”
A strip of scalp is removed, then individual follicular units are separated and implanted.
Leaves a linear scar, but allows for large graft numbers.
FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) – Modern & Popular
Individual hair follicles are directly extracted and implanted.
Minimal scarring, quicker recovery, preferred for short hairstyles.
How much will it cost?
Costly (₹50,000 to ₹2,00,000+ in India)
What is Root Canals?
A root canal is a dental procedure used to treat infection or damage inside a tooth — specifically within the pulp, which is the soft tissue at the center that contains nerves and blood vessels.
Is microneedling painful?
Microneedling is done with a topical numbing cream, making it very comfortable. Most patients report only mild tingling or scratching sensations during the procedure.
How many sessions are needed?
Generally, 3–6 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart are recommended for optimal skin improvement, depending on the concern being treated.
What is the downtime?
Mild redness and sensitivity can last 24–48 hours. Most clients return to work the next day using sunscreen and light moisturizers.
Can microneedling be combined with PRP?
Yes. Combining with PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) significantly boosts healing and collagen production, especially effective for acne scars and anti-aging.
When will I see results?
Initial glow is seen within a week. Major improvements in skin texture and tone appear over 4–8 weeks as collagen rebuilds.
What is electrocautery used for in dermatology?
Electrocautery is used to remove skin tags, warts, moles, seborrheic keratoses, and other benign skin lesions by applying heat generated through electrical current.
Is electrocautery painful?
A local anesthetic is applied before the procedure, so discomfort is minimal. Patients may feel mild warmth or pressure during the treatment.
How long does the procedure take?
Most electrocautery procedures take between 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the number and size of lesions being treated.
Is there any downtime or recovery period?
Downtime is minimal. Small scabs may form, which usually heal within 7–10 days. It's important to avoid picking the scab to prevent scarring.
Are there any side effects or risks?
Minor redness, swelling, or scabbing may occur. Rarely, pigmentation changes or mild scarring can happen. Following aftercare instructions reduces these risks.
Can the lesion return after treatment?
In most cases, treated lesions do not return. However, if the root cause persists (e.g., viral warts), recurrence is possible and may need repeat treatment.
What is a dental implant?
A dental implant is a titanium post that replaces the root of a missing tooth and supports a crown, bridge, or denture for natural function and appearance.
Is the dental implant procedure painful?
No, the procedure is performed under local anesthesia. Some mild discomfort or swelling after surgery is normal and can be managed with pain relievers.
How long does a dental implant last?
With proper care and regular check-ups, dental implants can last 15 to 25 years or even a lifetime.
Who is a suitable candidate for dental implants?
Anyone with one or more missing teeth, good oral hygiene, healthy gums, and sufficient bone density is typically a good candidate for dental implants.
How long does the treatment take?
The full process may take 3 to 6 months, depending on healing and osseointegration (fusion with the jawbone).
Are there any risks or side effects?
Dental implants are very safe. However, like any surgical procedure, there is a small risk of infection, nerve damage, or implant failure, especially if post-op care is not followed properly.
